Matilda is our ‘star’ animal – fantastic looking girl and has a ribbon to her name. She produced a high quality girl from Wirracocha in 2007.

Matilda comes from superb bloodlines with her sire winning Senior Champion Male at the BAS National Show three years running and Supreme Champion at the South of England and Bath and West Shows.

Matilda is a very well balanced and well grown female. She has a very correct and strong frame and is well covered in fibre. She is very true to type and of high show quality.

Her fleece has good staple length and alignment and a high frequency crimp style with high amplitude running right up the neck and down under the belly. She has very little guard hair in this very dense fleece and the brightness and low micron gives a fantastic handle.

Bethany is a strong boned blue black female who is very well covered and has excellent presence. Her fleece shows good crimp definition, brightness and low guard hair levels.

She has the best temperament of all our alpacas, always first to eat and quite happy to stick her nose in where it is not really wanted. Good solid black genetics she has produced a good quality black boy from Denzel in 2007.

Ayaviri is half sister to Matilda and she cuts a heavy fleece equally as fine. She has a slightly timid temperament but is very strong willed. She dislikes being handled and sits at the first opportunity, thus making scanning a little harder.

Jessica has a high quality genetic background but she ain’t the prettiest girl. Her boy in 2007 from Cosmos is very pretty, so just goes to show how influential the sire can be. Her next cria is due in October 08, mated to Accoyo Killawasi we expect and interesting outcome.

Bonita one of our smaller mothers, with the prettiest head. Although she is quiet and relaxed, she will defend her food from others, but tends to steer clear of proper arguments between alpacas. She has already produced one stud male and some wonderful prize winning offspring and this year’s boy also has the potential to be a stud.

Claudia is quite shy and flighty, although as quiet as a mouse once caught. She is an excellent mother and to her own detriment she produces huge babies with masses of milk to feed them. Because of this she needs a bit of TLC, supplementary food and a scarf of fleece left on her top line at shearing. Claudia is quite independent, sometimes lying a little way from the others.
